Day 2 PEACH-K.CC.6 – Activity 8.1 Van de Walle - Make sets of More/Less/Same – each person creates their more/less/same & writes the corresponding # below it. Share out & talk about why the relationships b/w the less, more, same. Then have them show on the # line why the #’s are less, more or the same. Sheet protectors, dry erase markers, little erasers
LAVENDER- K.CC.6 – Activity 8.2 Van de Walle – Find the same Amount – Give each person an envelope with Dot Cards BLM 7 and 8 in them. Show a number (or dot card-use the number 7 for this activity) to the group and have them find a dot card with the same amount. Discuss. Note a variation on this is that kids can select a dot card number and find another card with same amount of dot cards.
GoldenRod- Ten Frame Tell About - K.CC.4.a, K.CC.4.b, K.OA.2, K.OA.3– Create/match your created 10 frame (for a given # less than 10). Write a number sentence that represents your dots (post-its). Compare all combinations of #’s that add up to the #.
